Volunteers

Simply put, our club is reliant on our volunteers. Some will put in many hours to help the club function while others will assist in the small things that all add up to make Bundaberg Swim Team. Some of our fantastic volunteers help in the following ways:

  • Helping coordinate or run our BBQ fundraisers (club night & Saturday's)

  • Helping setup, run and pack up club nights

  • Helping run meets including our Winter Short Course and City of Charm

  • Help at swim meetings, such as a team manager

  • Help organise fundraising for the club, such as seeking donations or selling tickets or preparing grant applications.

  • Helping promote our club, such as taking photos or running stalls at events

  • Help on our Management Committee

Would you like to help out our club? Helping is not limited to the list above, if you can bring a skill to our club, we'd love you to help out. Please contact one of our Management Committee today.

Technical Officials

Without volunteer technical officials our club nights and swim meets would not be possible. Technical officials include a range of roles including:

  • Timekeeping & Chief Timekeeper

  • Check Starter

  • Starter

  • Clerk of Course (Marshall)

  • Inspector of Turns & Chief Inspector of Turns

  • Judge of Stroke

  • Chief Recorder (Recorder)

  • AOE Operator & SAT Operator

  • Referee

  • Technical Manager

When you're ready to become a technical official, please have a chat to David Towner so he can assist you in your training. David attends each club night. Further information can be found on the SQ website.
